Squatson

Meet Squatson, the class pet in Mrs. Jackson's 2nd Grade. Squatson is a fire-bellied toad. He has toxic skin so we can't hold him for very long. He likes to be in his warm pool, but I took this picture when I caught him stretching out in a funny pose. His favorite food is teeny tiny crickets that you buy at the pet store. Legend has it that fire-bellied toads shed their skin and EAT it! Squatson better not ever do that or he is fired. Talk about gross.

That little guy looks fun. That's a pretty exotic class pet, girl! :) My only class pets are the ants that have infiltrated any and all cracks in the walls in my classroom. That might have something to do with the fact that my school was built in the 1800's. I hope school is wonderful for you!
