Meet Bippy

Bippy is a puppet I made during my studies at BYU for an el. ed. drama class. He's been sitting in the corner of my classroom for three years observing, but has never moved. Last week, on a whim, I decided to have Bippy teach the math lesson instead of myself. The kids loved him. L.O.V.E.D. him. He talks in a funny high-pitched voice, makes them laugh all the time, and completely captures their attention. They respond to Bippy entirely differently than how they respond to me. I about died when T turned to the kids next to him and whispered, "It's really Mrs. Jackson talking."

Other hilariousness: I thought someone was going to be in huge trouble when I saw the title of a book that a student had written. They titled their little home-made story In Sex I Like.
Oh no.
To my relief, when you open the book, you find page after page of this child's favorite insects. Ha!

Emily, that In Sex thing had me laughing out loud. I was a little nervous there for a bit, but that was pretty awesome. Thanks for sharing!

I'd very much like to meet Bippy some time. Heaven knows I could use his help with MY math skills. Glad your students liked him so much!

Oh it makes me want to find my good ol' puppet friend, Razzie.
