Ok, I'll admit

that I am an awesome teacher.  Yesterday while the students were crafting African dioramas, I was loving this conversation I overheard: one of my students was telling her group that she wished that Mrs. Jackson would teach 3rd grade next year, and 4th grade the year after that, etc. ... so that she could have me as a teacher every year.  Stuff like that make my job worth it ... kinda.

I wasn't going to cry today, but after our slideshow of the year, I looked around and saw all these red, tear-stained faces and I just couldn't help it.  So for today's post I'm giving you:

Top 5  Things I'll Miss About My Class
1.  reading books and laughing with them (or crying)
2.  all the random, weird, funny things they say
3.  playing with them at recess or P.E.
4.  just plain being adored by a roomful of 8 year olds
5.  their hugs when they walk out the door at the end of the day

Top 5 Things I Won't...
1.  when they poke me in the arm while saying my name repeatedly
2.  tattle-tells
3.  saying the same thing over and over and over and over
4.  breaking up fights
5.  receiving death threats (see picture below)
