another pinterest project

Here's a cute story.  This actually happened twice this week at two different parks:  Benj and Maddie were playing by themselves at the park when more kids showed up to play.  As the kids approached, before they could do anything, Benjamin yelled as loud as he could at them, "This is Maddie!  Be nice to her!"  Such the protective big brother.  Funny thing is, he needs to yell that to himself sometimes.

This week we discovered Play Hour at the library.  A great time!  Total unstructured chaos with new toys.  And I got to spend the time catching up with my dearest old pal Liz Broadbent- bonus!

A journey to Ikea calls for a reward

Let's celebrate the end of lawns for the season!  Woot woot!

This was our pinterest project for the weekend and cause for the journey to Ikea.  Our poor man's version of a TV hutch.  Jesse installed the TV mount like a pro and I am now the ninja of the measuring tape and level.

Benj, leafing through the latest Consumer Reports digest.  Just so you know, it has zero pictures inside, but does he care?  No, because there is a picture of a car on the cover so it is his "car book" and he has been known to take naps with it and bring it along on several outings.  Also, he has been carrying around a BMW advertisement that came in the mail, all week.  A great love of cars inherited from Tada, perhaps?

Benj quickly put the shelves to the test by banging on them as hard as he could.

The finished product.

We introduced Benjamin to the iPad this week.  He is learning how to write his letters on this game and loves it.

Maddie, relaxing with a book.  This is also her most beloved bear, which she snuggles up to and rubs her face in its fur, when she goes to sleep.

In her toadstool cap.

Great work on the shelving project, looks good. Maddie looks like a child model in every picture. Someone is spoiling her and rightly so. Xox Dad

BTW, Benjamin is cultivating two of my interests at the same time - fine autos and Consumer Reports - it must be genetic.

Big smiles in every picture! love those little kiddos.

1) That shelving looks incredible, I'm impressed.
2)Also, I am amazed at the amount of grass that the Jacksons shoved into that trailer - even crazier that they've been doing that every week! Mad props to Jesse and how hard he works.
