Second Thanksgiving and Christmas is Coming

Started off the week at Instacare after Benj stabbed himself with a steak knife, trying to cut his own grapefruit.  I probably didn't need to go to Instacare just so they could stick some little bandaids on, but I was feeling like a bad mom for letting him use a sharp knife and I just wanted to make sure I wasn't a really bad mom by not getting him stitches if needed.  He is holding a stick of Fruit Stripes gum, which did more help than the bandaids.

Reunion celebration with a whole bunch of BYU roommates.  Sure love these ladies!

On Wednesday, Dad met us downtown at Discovery Gateway, where - we discovered upon arrival - that it was a free day if you brought cans of food so the crowds were almost unbearable.

Making discoveries at Discovery.
On Wednesday night, Pie Night at the Smyths.  Delicious!

Thanksgiving morning!  On our traditional hike.

On the Pipeline trail.

Madeline, taking a snooze.

Little trooper.
Wishing I would have taken more pictures, but just know that Thanksgiving at the Smyths was incredible.

Playing games after dinner and laughing off our calories.  Sure love my Smyth cousins.
Me and Meg
We also went out to dinner with Grammie and Aunt Chrissie on Thursday night, making THREE Thanksgiving dinners.  Lucky us!  I am most grateful for so many loved ones to celebrate with.
Mom and Dad, here's picture to show you what's happening across the street from your property.

What we did on Black Friday.

The last thing we want to be doing on Sunday night, but nonetheless, making repairs on a major plumbing problem.  The laundry room below is in shambles, thanks to a slow, unnoticeable-until-now-leak.

Fun to squish your cheeks on the cold glass.

Sunday night, decorating the Christmas tree.  It was fun to remember all our new German ornaments, which are now on the tippy top branches.  Benj and I both have our pajama pants on and church shirts on top.  Haha.

Benjamin was having a glorious time.  Maddie was not invited to the party.  She is the Christmas tree destructor.  I have a feeling I am going to be doing a lot of re-decorating this year.
Looking forward to all the excitement this time of year holds!  I especially love being a mom at Christmastime with little kids!
