liberty park, bryce's birthday, 'mato's, the grand, and plum picking

I can't believe the whole summer went by and we never went to Liberty Park, until now.

These boys were in their element.  Breaking rules and being naughty together.

Maddie fell in and got completely submerged, but rescued herself just fine.

We ordered some water beads off the internet and watched them grow and now we play with them by squishing them in our hands.

Still a little scared to go down our slide.

The kids came with me on a jog through a sunny rain and then we took pictures in this crazy bright sunset.  In the pictures it looks like it's the middle of the day, but it was actually as the sun was going down.

Silhouette.

In our giant sudsy hot tub/ car wash.

Snacking on sunflower seeds in the pool.

My handsome husband and mountain man.

Best buds throwing rocks in the fire.  Fire!  Rock throwing!  So fun!

Bryce's 35th Birthday Bash
Sneaky JJ blew out the candles a couple times before Bryce could make his wish.

Tomatoes are taking over our house!  We are drowning in tomatoes!  Or 'Matos as Benj would say.

Jesse surprised me with a romantic weekend at the Grand America.  It was our first night away from our children.  The kids had a sleepover with Grandma and Grandpa Tate and didn't miss us one bit!  Thank you, thank you Janet and Kelly!  We had such a luxurious weekend!

The food was seriously the best I have ever eaten.

Jesse came on a 6 mile run with me, even though he never runs or works out.  He can just up and do that.  We rode Trax as far as we could and then ran back to the hotel.  It was really fun to run downtown, in a new atmosphere.

This is one happy girl.  There is nothing better than the breakfast buffet at the Grand America.

So grateful for this guy.  He knows how to spoil me!

Plum picking at Grammie's.
There is going to be a whole lot of jam production going on at our house.  Maddie just stood there by her bags of plums, taking one bite out of each of about 100 plums.  Can you say, diarrhea?
